Affordable Housing Initiative
The Legacy at Ann Arbor is proud to participate in the affordable housing initiative, in accordance with the affordable housing policies outlined by the City of Ann Arbor.
Affordable housing options are available to individuals and families whose total income is at or below a specific Area Median Income (AMI). In order to qualify for affordable housing at The Legacy at Ann Arbor, your household income must fall between 60% and 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
Affordable Housing FAQs
If you live in a one-person household and make between $52,900 and $70,500 (60-80% of AMI), or if you live in a two-person household and make between $60,400 and $80,600 (60-80% of AMI), you can qualify for affordable housing at The Legacy at Ann Arbor.
You will be expected to submit pay stubs, tax documents, etc. in order to qualify.
AMI refers to Area Median Income.
Our A5-1 one-bedroom apartment is eligible for affordable housing rates.
Your monthly installment will be dependent on whether your household median income falls between 60% or 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). If you fall into the 60% AMI bracket, your monthly installment will be $1,275.30. If you fall into the 80% AMI bracket, your monthly installment will be $1,701. Please contact our leasing office to determine which income range you fall into.
All applicants are still subject to application fees, resident services fees, utility billing and activation fees, and a security deposit (only applies to applicants without a guarantor). Contact our leasing office for more information.
